Utilizing the towed Transient ElectroMagnetic method (tTEM) for achieving unprecedented near-surface detail in geological mapping

چکیده
The subsurface in areas affected by the Pleistocene glaciations often reveal very complex architectures and because of this, near-surface geology is generally difficult to map model high detail. A number geophysical methods focus on uppermost part are capable mapping details, but no single method has hitherto been able provide detail, data density resolution required Quaternary 3D. Driven demands for detail parts related instance surface water groundwater vulnerability assessments climate-change projects, a new high-resolution electromagnetic survey method, tTEM, developed. We present examples discuss its applicability four study where from tTEM surveys combined with geological knowledge features that could not be resolved 3D using other focusing deeper or wider spacing.

Surface Temperatures at the Continental Scale: Tracking Changes with Remote Sensing at Unprecedented Detail
Temperature is a main driver for most ecological processes, and temperature time series provide key environmental indicators for various applications and research fields. High spatial and temporal resolutions are crucial for detailed analyses in various fields of research. A disadvantage of temperature data obtained by satellites is the occurrence of gaps that must be reconstructed. Here, we pr...
متن کاملthe search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame
this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

Abstract The transient electromagnetic field generated by vertical electric dipole in evaluation duct is investigated theoretically. A vertical electric dipole in the surface layer is taken as the source of the electromagnetic field. We determine the electric field strength exactly at some fixed point in the duct layer expansion with time, the image of the primary source permits us to apply the...
متن کاملBOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD APPLIED TO THE LIFTING BODIES NEAR THE FREE SURFACE
In this study, the boundary element method is formulated to evaluate hydrodynamic characteristics of bodies including free surface effect. The method is based on two equations, the perturbation potential boundary integral and the pressure Kutta condition, which are solved simultaneously. The method uses isoparametric elements for both quantity and geometric on the boundary. The method is first ...
